    meetings & incentives

İstanbul is the meeting point of the world. It has over 8,500 years of history as the capital of three empires, unique geography, and inclusivity derived from different ethnicities and cultures.

According to the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), between 2010 and 2020, İstanbul hosted 1,623 association meetings, and between 2010 and 2015, it was among the Top 10 congress destinations in the world.

With seven purpose-built convention centers, three exhibition centers, over 200,000 bed capacity and over 220 four- and five-star hotels, İstanbul has the capacity to host any type of event. From incentives to association meetings with 30,000 participants, İstanbul is proud to have hosted an extensive list of high-level and successful events over the years.

Attesting to its excellence, İstanbul has hosted a series of conferences in recent years that have received universal praise. Among many international signature congresses are the FDI World Dental Congress (15,000 delegates); the EADV International Congress of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (8,100 delegates); 23rd World Energy Congress (10,000 delegates); 22th World Petroleum Congress (5,000 delegates); and the WFNS World Congress of Neurosurgery (8,000 delegates).

İstanbul offers a variety of options, including top international and domestic hotel brands at a variety of price points as well as four separate but integrated meeting and exhibition clusters in the airport district, the Congress Valley, the Golden Horn, and İstanbul’s Asian side. All the above is combined with unique incentives amongst İstanbul’s historic venues, palaces, cisterns, and more. İstanbul presents meeting planners with a variety of remarkable options to create truly outstanding events. After all, no other city in the world is blessed with a selection of venues that date back to the 4th century BC and sanctuaries of all three monotheistic religions.
